CILICIA, Tarsus. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (37mm, 20.70 g, 12h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Garlanded altar surmounted by two facing figures, one of which holds shield; upon column between, statue of Apollo Lykeios facing slightly left; to left, Ceres standing right, holding torch in each hand; to right, Perseus standing facing, head left, holding harpa; before altar, bull reclining left. SNG France 1644 = Waddington 4673 var. (arrangement of rev. legend). Near VF, earthen green surfaces.
